"Local files: Along with the millions of tracks Spotify offers, you can also use the app to play any audio file on your device. Their related official support page says this which is not true: The usual file formats supported by Spotify for local files are MP3 and M4A either containing AAC or ALAC, strangely not Ogg Vorbis though. So maybe consider encoding the WAV files to a supported format, ALAC also works with Spotify's desktop app on newer Windows versions coming with an internal decoder for lossless Apple files in an *.m4a container. Enable the Show Local files option to make your local files visible in Spotify. In the Settings menu, go to the Local Files section. You can check them with a mass tagger app like Mp3tag. Launch the Spotify app on your PC and open the Settings menu. I don't think so, Spotify introduced support for local FLAC files some months ago, but WAV are also problematic due to their non-standard ID tags.
